Trustee Vacancy
Recruitment of Trustees
Revolving Doors Agency is a charity working across England to change systems and improve services for people with multiple problems including poor mental health who are in contact with the criminal justice system. Our areas of work are:
- Policy and research
- Partnerships and development
- Service user involvement
Our vision is that by 2025 there is an end to the revolving door of crisis and crime, when anyone facing multiple problems and poor mental health is supported to reach their potential, with fewer victims and safer communities as a result.
We are looking for up to four highly skilled and committed people to join our dynamic and friendly Board of Trustees. The Board meets six times a year. We are particularly seeking people with expertise, knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Personal experience of the criminal justice system (e.g. previous experience of being arrested or imprisoned) or using services relevant to our work
- Experience of influencing service provision or policy from a service user‘s perspective
- Experience of fundraising and/or grant making
- Experience of running successful social or private enterprise including business development and other commercial skills
- Cost benefit or systems analysis
- Intellectual property or knowledge management
- Experience of providing services in the criminal justice system
In order to promote diversity in all our work we are particularly keen to attract applications from women and from people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
