Launch of election manifestos

This week has seen election fever really kick off with the launch of election manifestos by a number of political parties. The Labour Party was first on Monday, followed by the Conservative Party on Tuesday. The Liberal Democrat Manifesto was launched on Wednesday, and finally the Green Party Manifesto on Thursday.
The manifestos can be found in full on the respective party websites (just click on the links above). Alternatively, a number of organisations have attempted to summarise the key proposals from the three main parties - for those who don't fancy tackling these hefty manifestos themselves.
On criminal justice:
- The Criminal Justice Alliance have produced a detailed briefing examining the parties' proposals on crime and criminal justice, both by issue and by party.
- The New Statesman have published the key points from each manifesto along with an expert verdict from Nacro's National Policy Development Manager, Jackie Lowthian.
- The website ePolitix.com allows you to compare the key promises from each party on a number of issues, including Home Affairs and Justice.
