Time is Money: Financial Responsibility after Prison is a new publication which argues that exclusion from bank accounts, insurance and affordable credit is preventing former offenders from getting into work and securing a home, thus forcing their families into debt.
Published by the Prison Reform Trust and UNLOCK, the National Association of Reformed Offenders, with the support of the Friends Provident Foundation, it offers practical, cost effective recommendations to achieve financial inclusion for people in prison, former offenders and their families, and to improve resettlement and reduce reoffending.
Last year Revolving Doors set out evidence of the impact of poverty and financial exclusion on adults with multiple needs in our publication Hand to Mouth.
