Capital Gains
Capital Gains is a three-year policy programme. Working with key decision makers in the capital, we aim to improve responses to people with multiple needs in contact with the criminal justice system. We aim to bring about these changes through:
- Working closely with the London mayor and his office to gain support and a commitment to improving responses to the “revolving doors group”.
- Working with other key London decision makers to achieve policy changes that will improve responses to this group.
The involvement of service users and partner organisations is integral to the programme. We have established a service user panel and will continue to work closely with them throughout the programme. The panel brings people with direct experience of multiple needs and the criminal justice system into direct contact with London policy makers, enabling their voice and personal experience to be heard.
To inform the project in its initial stages we have written a briefing paper, Repeat offenders with multiple needs in London which can be downloaded below.
