Dominic Williamson
New Chief Executive

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dominic Williamson as the new Chief Executive of Revolving Doors Agency, with effect from 1st July 2009. Dominic has been Director of Policy, Practice and Campaigns at Homeless Link for the past four and a half years and before that held positions with Providence Row Housing Association, Shelter, St Mungos, National Homeless Alliance and as a human rights observer in Guatemala. He has a special interest in services for people with complex needs and, prior to joining Homeless Link, spent three years as manager of PRHA's Hackney Road Project, a hostel for men and women with high support needs around drug and alcohol use. He recently completed a secondment with Communities and Local Government, assisting in drafting the Government's strategy to tackle rough sleeping. He also has a special interest in service user engagement and served as a board member and Chair of Groundswell , the UK's leading client involvement and self-help organisation working in the field of homelessness.

Dominic is excited about the prospect of leading Revolving Doors through its next stage of development:

Revolving Doors Agency has an enviable reputation and its impact for people with mental health and complex needs caught up in the criminal justice system has been significant and extremely positive. I share with the RDA board the belief that there is a window of opportunity - not least with the upcoming Bradley Review and the offender health strategy - to influence lasting change. I look forward enormously to joining the team and making my contribution.

Gary Lashko, Chair of Trustees of Revolving Doors Agency, is delighted to welcome Dominic:

This is a time of great change and exceptional challenge for Revolving Doors Agency. We are extremely fortunate to retain the support of a number of informed and engaged funders, who recognise both the importance of our work and the need to invest in it. Their support enables us to implement our new and targeted strategy. Dominic will be a great asset in this, bringing both energy and experience to lead the Agency in its next crucial phase of development. We look forward to the future and to the contribution we can make for those who face the 'revolving door' between crisis, crime and mental illness.
