You are here: Why we're here
Hope drives change
Everything we do is rooted in the belief that when they have hope, even people with multiple challenges have the capacity to change. That hope is born when providers begin to see not the bundle of problems, but the person behind them.
Joined up responses
At the Revolving Doors Agency we work in a uniquely collaborative way that brings our team’s hands-on knowledge of research and policy together with the perspective and insights of those who have experienced the failure of the system. This allows us to provide joined-up responses to the needs of people with multiple and complex problems.
OUR IMPACT HAS BEEN IN 2015/16
- Involving 1,000 people with experience of the system’s failings
- 200 members collaborating in our ground-breaking research network
- Ongoing national roll-out of liaison and diversion services
An end to the revolving door
Our aim is not simply to identify specific gaps in the system and apply ‘sticking plaster’ fixes. Rather we are looking into the future to help decision makers develop fundamental solutions that address the underlying systemic faults that can trap people within the crisis-crime cycle of the revolving door.
